Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 5:02 PM Having finally gotten out of the labyrinth, Im back again but, this time,with a different perspective to do my blog. So am I not going to do related topics? Well, let's put it this way instead - the root to every complete image is within self. Being relatively 'active' on FB since the start of my break, I have been reading status written by friends and also, their other friends. Generally, there are 4 common statements you will see. 1)- To tell the world what you are doing right now! (You ain't no superstar but then... who cares!) 2)- To give thanks to people, to God, to some enlightening events that happened. 3)- To lament about life, people or things that harried you. 4)- Quotesworthy... = ) It's amazing to read what's going on in people's lives and comforting to realise that you are not alone in this world thinking what you are thinking. But what we don't realise is that, you create an impression of yourself unknowingly. Some people draw your attention while others just turn you off. So, let's put negative thoughts away and let's draw people to us for the right purpose! Believe. The belief in yourself. The belief in your strengths. As a believer of God, I take every step in life with faith which brings me far beyond what I can expect. If you ain't sure what you believe is getting you to the right direction, ask reliable people around you for opinions. An outsider may be able to give you better insights. Having the end in mind. It's not easy for any capricious mind. But identify what you REALLY want, identify what steps you need to take to achieve it. Before you start the day, remind yourself of your goal first. Somehow, it will bring you back to Earth - to do the necessary! There's no shortcut in life. Recently, I went for a seminar for Christian teachers and I learnt from an amazing professor how to identify life purpose. Try this! 1) Ask a person (who knows you well) to say 2 nouns about you. 2) Then, ask the same person to say 2 verbs about you. 3) Finally, ask yourself, "What is a perfect world to you?" 4) Putting all these together. (2 nouns + 2 verbs + "perfect world") That's your life purpose! It's sad if one has no life purpose. If your life purpose is to provide for your children, so be it! Be firm with what you are called for to do. Trying to do what is meant for others is only going to kill you and your identity! Once, you know what you are, who you are and what you want and what you are called for to do, your image glows - naturally! Agnes Yours Truly, Yeo Bibi Let's search the wardrobe! Monday, March 9, 2009, 8:16 PM Economy downturn doesn't mean looking haggard and 'poor'...Psychologists have suggested that dressing up will boost your morale and help you to be more efficient and motivated! Regardless of how bad the situation is, never allow yourself to appear or literally behave just as bad! Search you wardrobe now! Look into it and see what's your best fit! Go clean! These are the "must-have" behind those doors! 1) White shirt (long or short sleeves) 2) pencil skirt 3) calf-length circle skirt (flattering to big thighs!) 4) straight-cut pants (plain colours) 5) Any nice printed blouse, spaghetti-strap blouse or singlet 6) At least 2-3 elegant looking cardigans 7) A nice piece of cocktail dress 8) A pair of jeans 9) A pair of loafers (not chunky ones!) or a pair of moccasin 10) AND, lots & lots of costume jewelleries! What are the "no-nos" in your wardrobe? 1) Tube skirts (unless you have Grace Kelly's figure!) 2) Volume hemmed skirt 3) Double or triple layered blouses 4) Hi-waist pants or skirts (if you do not know how to wear it, you'll look ridiculous!) 5) Anything dark brown, earthy, pastel, dirty! (weak economy with weak colours? No no no!) 6) Slippers (assumed to be worn outside!) 7) Open-toe heels on which your toes literally slipped through! Well, seems difficult? No, it's not! Just need you to spend time digging through your wardrobe. Be at your best! Never allow your bosses to come to you and ask "Are you sick?" Yours Truly, Yeo Bibi House Party 2009!
